Reproductions

Qoro Replicas® were introduced to me in 2003 as an archival, astonishingly accurate means of reproducing artwork.  Developed by DuPont, the technology then featured 8 channels of color (when most printing used 4), utilizing nano-pigmentation to print an actual painting, at larger or smaller dimensions than the original, with identically rendered textures and colors.  At that time, commercial ink jet printers typically offered accurate but not yet archival reproductions called giclées.  I recall being shown a Qoro of a soft pastel painting and, seeing the texture, involuntarily reached to gently touch it, not quite believing it was a print.  Over the course of nearly 20 years, I chose 6 of my pieces to reproduce in this manner, with a small number remaining in stock.

The giclée industry has continued to evolve since, now utilizing archival pigment-based inks and dyes, 12-color channel printers, and high-resolution capture.  The replicas offered here represent the last of the original limited edition Qoros: permanent, exact-match color and details created with nano-pigmentation, effectively painted on archival supports.
